Wenesday Morning - Lappeenranta University of Technology

Today we went to the Lappenranta University of Technology or LUT, we splitted our group in two halfs, one to go to the forest kotaniemi, the other to visit the LUT. We had a presentation on what they do in this university which is focused on bio-energy and sustainable developement.

They are really proud of what they do and they are also proud of their rank. They are part of the top 300 world's best ranked university. Then we went to see their facilities, solar panels on the roof and windturbine in front of the university. Now we are waiting for the other group to visit that forest.

While one group visited the university, the other went in the forest. At the beginning we walk on a peaceful road and residence. We saw rich houses and then we arrived at the forest. So we stopped at a point of view in order to take photograph.

The landscape was beautiful and we could saw the iced lake and many trees.

After that, we continued to walk until we arrived at the bunker. There were snow, ice on the path so it was difficult to walk. When you want to go into the bunker, you could but you must have a flash-light because it was very dark.

Then, we went outside and we took photos with our friends and pen pals. We decided to go back to the university. Indeed we should change with the other group.

Hey you guys are so lucky, last year we didn't visit this part of the university... Buuut... we had sunny and warm weather during the whole trip ;)
